EDUCATION

The Equestrian Program
Our equestrian program at Appalachian Equestrian Center was developed to provide a fun, safe experience with horses for children interested in learning to ride and refining their skills in many phases of horsemanship.  It is the objective of our program to enrich each riders ability, knowledge and enjoyment of horses through a safe and structured sequence of experiences progressing from fundamentals to the finer points of equitation.  From beginner to the advanced equestrian, our concerns are for the growing individual and their love of horses, bringing about a summer your children will never forget.

Lessons
Campers are split into groups based on level and ability.  The lessons are about safety, rider control, position and just having fun.  We believe that the correct fundamentals are the key to good equitation.  All of our riders will enhance their riding abilities and fundamentals during our every day lessons, through routine exercises.
